While hybrids may be more fuel efficient than the heavy modern behemoths car manufacturers have been pumping out, I’m not convinced that they’re the best option available. An older lightweight car can be a better option, as cars like the Honda CRX can average over 50mpg and because it’s a two-seater, gets to use the carpool lane and receives a free pass through tolls here in California.
Also, with new fuel options being produced every day, it’s entirely plausible for anyone to own a distillery to make their own ethanol, which older cars run on quite happily.
Still, I like the fact that modern manufacturers are focused on something other than making bigger, more feature-packed vehicles, and are focused on efficiency again. I’d say hybrids are a step in the right direction, but anyone considering purchasing one should really think long and hard about the associated costs.

I think that Hybrid Car is the best thing that has happened in the automobile industry in recent years and looking at the air pollution i think more and more automobile companies and government should promote it.
